Four-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Mohamed Farah Reveals Ambition To Become Arsenal’s Fitness Coach

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Mohamed Farah aka Mo Farah dreams of becoming a fitness coach at Arsenal once his athletics career is over.

The 33-year-old star is a long-time supporter of the Gunners and has admitted he would love to move into the world of professional football once he hangs up his running spikes.

The British Somaliland-born athlete Farah repeated his achievement of winning the 5,000m and 10,000m at London 2012 during the Rio Olympics this summer. But Farah is confident he could make a real difference to his beloved Arsenal if he were to become an employee of the club.

“One thing I really love is football and I have a good relationship with Arsenal. I started supporting them when I first came to Britain as a kid,” the Arsenal fanatic explained to The Sunday Times.

“I liked the way they played. They also had a lot of players from African backgrounds. One day, I’d love to be able to work for them, maybe as a fitness coach. I’m a big believer in what the body’s capable of with proper training.”

In the short-term, the Arsenal-loving Farah is firmly focused on competing at next year’s World Championships in London. But Farah admitted he will walk away from the sport if he exhausts his own enthusiasm.

“The passion’s still there, but there will be a day when I wake up and think: ‘I can’t do this any more, I’m not as hungry as I was, I don’t enjoy it as much’. That’s the day I know I’ll need to hang my spikes up,” he explained.
